The following policy applies to members of the press and media present at the conference. AVfM Education, LLC reserves the right to change or modify any policy or rule at any time and without notice.
AVfM Education, LLC reserves the right to revoke the license and badge of any press or media member not in compliance with this policy.
Code of Conduct
Together with everyone else attending the conference, in whatever capacity, press and media members must respect commonsense rules for public behavior, personal interaction, common courtesy, and respect for private property. Harassing or offensive behavior will not be tolerated.
Press and media members must adhere to the policy set out for the attendees with respect to the wearing of badges and lanyards, the use of cell phones and other matters detailed on the Attendee Policy page.
Press License
Press licenses must be applied for and issued in advance of the conference.
The press license will contain the terms and conditions on which it is being issued and all press and media attending the conference are expected to comply with those conditions.
AVfM Education, LLC reserves the right to decide to whom it will grant a press license.
No person purporting to be a member of the press, whether or not they have press credentials, will be admitted without their signed AVfM Education, LLC press license.
Attendance at the Press Conference
The Press Conference will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017.
Those eligible to attend are members of the mainstream press, media and bloggers who have been granted a press license, and AVFM staff only.
General attendees to the conference will not be permitted to attend the presser.
Attendance at the Conference
The Conference will be held on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June, 2017.
During the two days the press and media will sit in an allocated space at the rear of the conference hall. The question and answer sessions with the speakers and panel discussion members will be reserved for the attendees and the press and media will not be allowed to ask questions.
Interviews
Press and media may ask to interview speakers, AVFM staff by arrangement with the Press Secretary.
All interviews will be arranged through the Press Secretary and held in the designated area.
Photography, Video & Audio Recording
This applies to the use of cameras, cell phones, voice recorders and any other equipment. Please see our photography, video and audio recording policy.
Members of the press and media are permitted to use video and sound recording of proceedings at the press conference on Friday, not at the main conference on Saturday and Sunday, where only still photography is allowed.
During the main conference, still photographs of the speaker on the stage may be taken but not of members of the audience.
No video, audio or other filming/recording of the main conference is permitted, whether of speakers, talks or discussions.
The press may only take photos of attendees outside of the conference hall and only with the express permission of the people they wish to photograph.
Documentary makers
Special licenses may be issued to agreed persons to film the actual conference, such as documentary makers. Such arrangements will be made in advance of the conference.
